Since
1998 the event has attracted runners from across Canada and the
United states. They
include all ranks of individuals - former Olympic participants,
young, old, World University Games contestants, all - members of
every walk of life. We have had recovering cancer and infirmed patients who heard
by word of mouth of the tremendously scintillating experience of
participation!
The
course, mainly gravel, travels along the route known as
Antigonish Landing. The
swaying trees, the background sounds of the bagpipes, the
picturesque natural habitat of wildlife migration, and the
setting sun off to the West, make it a breathtaking experience!
You inhale the aroma of the blossomed trees and the wild
flowers, which cover the terrain alongside the course.
To the opposite side of your run, the tranquil waters
leading into the harbour make it by far, one of the most
picturesque, serene and undisturbed examples of Nature at its
best!
Your
pace almost makes you envision the early ships, which moved
along the waters in a more bustling era headed into the
local area to trade. What
more can one ask! The
magnitude of the peacefulness allows you to focus, relax and
strive for your own personal best time!
Wed
love to have you experience real SCOTTISH hospitality and
comradery in the Highland Heart of Nova Scotia.
